3 TIPS FOR NEW HOME OWNER'S
Moving into your first home, or a new home, is a monumental time in your life. As much as you'd love to be complete with your home after moving in all your belongings, you may be missing some essential home maintenance that goes along with your new home.
CHANGE THE LOCKS,
Create a safe space in your new home by swapping out the locks for new ones. The last thing you want to worry about when you're away is the security of your belongings.
For exterior security, opting for a handle finishing that can be easily cleaned and weathers nicely is key. Here are a few options that don't break the bank: Weiser Set | Weiser Powerbolt
For interior security, upgrade your system from its current security system (if it's outdated), or installing a system, is a great way to add more peace of mind with your home. Telus offers a great Smarthome Security System, or check out the Nest & Google Home Security!

DEEP CLEAN THE TOILET,
The last thing you want when moving into a new home is sitting down on a toilet, not knowing when it was cleaned last. A great fresh start to the new home is removing all toilet seats and giving the a deep scrub.
Another great option, if you're willing to upgrade, is swapping out the old toilet seats for new ones. Centoco offers great high rated toilet seats with an abundance of styles and price points at Home Depot.

PAINT YOUR FRONT DOOR,
Make a statement in the neighbourhood by painting the front door a colour of your choice, or touching up the existing door colour.
Painting Tips: Choose an exterior grade paint for your front door to keep it pristine in all weather conditions. Opt for a high quality bristle brush to help the paint apply smooth and with even coverage.
