Poetry Master Class with John Lent @ Caetani Cultural Centre
John Lent presents two Master Classes in Prose and Poetry at the Caetani Cultural Centre!
Masterclasses are 8 weeks in duration, with one three hour session per week plus additional one-on-one time with noted author John Lent.
Class membership is limited to 12 advanced writers working on a manuscript.

Tuition: $425.00 per course.
REGISTER ONLINE NOW FOR WINTER POETRY MASTERCLASS

Classes will be a mixture of discussions about contemporary poetry, demonstrations in writing and editing poetry (especially short and long forms), and critiquing sessions that will focus on class members’ work.

There is nothing in the world quite like the density of poetry. It can be so fascinating and demanding, so exquisite. My hope is that we will create a community of poets looking out for one another and pushing ourselves toward publication. Again, this should be the ideal class for any poet who is working away in solitude and could use the support and clarity that a small community of like- minded poets can provide sometimes.

If you are interested in exploring my career as a professional writer, teacher and editor so you understand my background and interests in poetry better, please visit my website: www.johnlent.ca

PIGS: Canada's Pink Floyd OUTSIDE / IN Canadian Tour 2019 @ Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre
 “A MUST-SEE FOR FLOYD FANS!!”

PIGS: Canada's Pink Floyd - OUTSIDE / IN Canadian Tour 2019 featuring a complete performance of THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON and many other classic Pink Floyd songs

Formed in 2008 in Victoria, British Columbia, PIGS: Canada's Most Authentic Pink Floyd Tribute have spent over ten years perfecting their craft in front of sold out audiences throughout Canada. On the second leg of their Outside / In Canadian Tour, PIGS continue to celebrate the 45th anniversary of THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON by performing it in its entirety as part of every show. After years of playing songs from throughout Pink Floyd’s vast catalogue, PIGS are excited to dig deep into the crucial years of 1970-1975 on this tour to really explore the history around some of the greatest music ever set to tape. As if that wasn't enough, the band will also be performing selections from the rest of the Floyd discography, including a few special surprises from Floyd solo records!

Using authentic gear, the band recreates the sound and live concert experience of 70s era Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd's live show was always a huge part of their appeal – and PIGS have been working to keep that experience alive for generations to come. They have the voices, the mannerisms, the instruments, the lights, lasers, visuals, and the sound. The band and their crew are all Floyd aficionados and are thrilled to create for you an incredible night filled with music and the glow of a giant Mr. Screen.

PIGS is the most authentic Floyd tribute act around, here to give you an incredible musical experience you will never forget.

Simply the Best Talent presents RELIVE the Music 50'S & 60'S Rock N’ Roll @ Vernon and District Performing Arts Centre
A brand new one of a kind show, that takes the audience through chronological Music History, Trivia & Memories of the 50’s & 60’s. You will likely learn many things you never knew about these artists. You will see an energetic live band and amazing front singers transforming and re-living thru two decades of costumes, trends, dances with video imagery and voiceovers in the background.
The audience will see silhouettes of a band onstage, video will roll in the background with voice narrating trivia prior to each song. We sorted through 20 years of over a thousand songs into a one - 100-minute show. The main criteria were to trim it to hit songs that are still relevant and memorable still to this day. We made our pick of songs that we feel will never get old.
We encourage the audience to come dressed in the 50’s or 60’s outfit they most loved. If there are any local dance groups that can dance 50’s style let us know we might get them onstage.  Hope to see you cheering for your favorite years of music.See more www.ReliveTheMusic.ca
