Jeff Piattelli & Co. @ Match Eatery & Public House
Jeff Piattelli is a professional singer and guitarist out of Kelowna, B.C. He writes and performs original music while also playing his take on popular covers. Using live, on the spot looping and percussion, Jeff creates everything you hear right in front of you; filling out the room with his signature sound.

His first album was a purely acoustic album, with timeless songs that fans still cherish to this day. He has since released two more, with the new album taking a more pop/top 40 approach. Jeff seems to have found his sound, taking influences from Rock, Pop, RnB and Folk and making it into something unique.

Guest Artist: Erin Fung – Clarinet
Melody in the hands of Mozart knows no equal. His prolific gift for spinning a tune of simplicity and perfection is legendary. 250 years after his death he still inspires through his own music and through contemporary composers like Michael Colgrass. We celebrate Mozart’s genius with two of his latest works: his final symphony and his final concerto written for a brand new instrument of his day, the clarinet, performed by our own principal, Erin Fung. Both of these works showcase Mozart’s mercurial ability to portray gorgeous lyricism and absolute joy!

Poetry Master Class with John Lent @ Caetani Cultural Centre
John Lent presents two Master Classes in Prose and Poetry at the Caetani Cultural Centre!
Masterclasses are 8 weeks in duration, with one three hour session per week plus additional one-on-one time with noted author John Lent.
Class membership is limited to 12 advanced writers working on a manuscript.

Tuition: $425.00 per course.
REGISTER ONLINE NOW FOR WINTER POETRY MASTERCLASS

Classes will be a mixture of discussions about contemporary poetry, demonstrations in writing and editing poetry (especially short and long forms), and critiquing sessions that will focus on class members’ work.

There is nothing in the world quite like the density of poetry. It can be so fascinating and demanding, so exquisite. My hope is that we will create a community of poets looking out for one another and pushing ourselves toward publication. Again, this should be the ideal class for any poet who is working away in solitude and could use the support and clarity that a small community of like- minded poets can provide sometimes.

If you are interested in exploring my career as a professional writer, teacher and editor so you understand my background and interests in poetry better, please visit my website: www.johnlent.ca
