One must successfully create four diverse, well-functioning, and aesthetically harmonized attachments; a vessel, handle, lid, and spout. This is an intermediate level class for those with previous wheel throwing experience. Price includes 1 bag of Navajo clay.

Wood, Wire & Fire Quartet @ Lorenzo's Cafe
Wood, Wire & Fire is a string jazz group plus drums founded by bassist Darko Cuk with violinist Denis Letourneau and guitarist Gil Kafka.  Their sound is rich, decadent and layered like a perfect pastry from a French Café. Classic swing mixed with choice modern selections their set is fluid and smooth with an energy that is feel-good and soul driven.  They have been playing around the Okanagan together since 2016.

Darko came to Canada some 25 years ago from Croatia where he studied classical and jazz bass.  In Vancouver he furthered his Jazz education at the Cap College in the nineties and embarked on a professional career in '97. After making himself known in Kelowna he landed a 2nd bass position in the Okanagan Symphony and has been busy playing in variety of bands around the valley including Wood, Wire & Fire.

Denis completed a B. Music violin performance degree from U of A in Edmonton and at the same time began jazz violin work with the help of Tommy Banks in the early 70's. Denis has recently retired as the Concertmaster of the Okanagan Symphony, after 39 years, and during that time performed with many world class solo acts.  He also recorded a duo CD with pianist/composer Stu Goldberg in 2006, entitled 'Reinventions'.

Gil started his musical career playing in rock bands around Montreal as a teenager.  He then moved to Toronto to gain a degree in jazz performance from U of T. In 2012 Gill and his wife moved to Kelowna where he now teaches full-time as a music teacher at Rutland Senior Secondary.  As of late he is focused on playing jazz again and can be found in various groups around the Okanagan including 'Wood, Wire & Fire'.

A roots balladeer with a rare personal warmth, Edmonton's Scott Cook has managed to distill the stories collected over years of near-incessant touring across Canada, the USA, Europe, Asia, and Australia into straight-talking, keenly observant verse. He's currently touring with his acoustic trio The Second Chances, consisting of Bramwell Park on banjo, mandolin, guitar and harmony vocals, and Melissa Walker on upright bass and harmonies. His 2013 album One More Time Around was nominated for a Canadian Folk Music Award, and its opening track "Pass It Along" won the Folk and Acoustic category in the 2013 UK Songwriting Contest, with UK magazine Maverick Country naming him "one of Canada's most inspiring and imaginative storytellers". All the hard miles notwithstanding, he still believes that songs can change your life, and your life can change the world.
