Johnny Popper Farm Tours @ Davison Orchards
See for yourself how your food is grown!
Taking a ride through the farm on "Johnny Popper Train" is a fun, interactive way for you to experience our working farm.
Something new to discover in every season on the farm. The tour takes you by apple trees, plum trees and peach trees as well as tomatoes, peppers, corn, pumpkins and more. A traditional tour involves one stop where one of our farmers will show you the fields and the orchards and you can see, touch, smell (and sometimes even taste!) one of our in-season crops. The focus of the tour changes as the seasons do, but all year long our Farm Tours are a chance to have some fun while you learn the story behind your food.
Fun for all ages
Our tours have been designed with families in mind. Kids love to ride in the tractor drawn "train" made of apple bins. Parents appreciate the covered, padded seating and the fact that the kids and adults alike learn something new about their food and how it's grown.
Ticket Prices are $6 for adults (13 yrs and older), and $4 for children (2-12 yrs) and do not need to be reserved in advance - just come on up, buy a ticket, and enjoy your tour! We do recommend that groups reserve in advance to ensure enough seating is available on the tour.

Family Daze in the Corn Maze @ Historic O'Keefe Ranch
Bring the whole family for great fall activities at the O’Keefe Ranch. A brand new maze will be open and it's guaranteed to entertain with plenty of twists and turns and spooky scenes around every corner. Some of the historic buildings will be open and decorated and the General Store will be selling good ol’ fashioned Halloween candy. Kids can enjoy a run through the maze, try a pony or tractor ride, take part in an art activity, or a climb in the giant spider web. Grab a snack at one of the food trucks available to keep your energy going all day long! The cost is $10 per person or $30 for a family (up to 5 people).
This is a family friendly event – the corn maze is spooky but it does not have live actors, and the seasonal décor in the buildings is suitable for children to explore.

Jack Garton & the Demon Squardon @ Army Navy And Air Force Club
Steeped in the solitude of the mountains and islands of the Pacific Northwest, raised in the boisterous and irreverent East Vancouver arts community, Jack Garton’s music is a dance party for the vulnerable at heart. In the lineage of Weird and Wonderful Canadian songwriters Leonard Cohen, k.d.Lang, Corb Lund and Geoff Berner, Garton’s songs alchemize brokenness and pride, and celebrate the sheer “absurd difficulty of being alive” (Geoff Berner) with wit and grace. Over the last ten years while touring Canada, the USA and Europe, Garton has developed a distinctive voice on the accordion, mixing cajun, european and country styles with ease into an exciting roots music feast. Whether backed by his powerful band the Demon Squadron or solo, armed with an accordion and trumpet, his shows are theatrical, fluid, confessional, and fun. They reflect a lifetime of devotion to the art of live music as well as an impressive breadth of life experience including his roles as a father and husband, local gravedigger, theatre artist and music teacher.

The Speakers

A communication and presentation specialist, FAITH WOOD consistently delivers inspirational and educational seminars that can literally transform your perceptions overnight. She understands that "How you think affects how you feel and how you feel affects your decision making, actions and performances". Her insights and strategies come from the world of neuroscience, health care, NLP and law enforcement.

It can be an expression which stirs and awakens the soul. Leslie is described by her clients and audiences as being sparkling, contagiously enthusiastic, approachable and 'the real deal". She's been an Internationally Certified Image Consultant for over 10 years, is a successful speaker and style coach working with nearly naked women in closets and dressing rooms across the continent - and founder of The Stylish Insider and IMPACT Essentials Group Inc.

Leslie's appeared on TV, radio and in print, most notably the Globe and Mail Montreal Gazette and Calgary Herald... and was selected as a TV Show Host finalist for the W Network. (Yeah, always the bridesmaid, never the bride!)
