selling or listing a home in the wintertime comes with its challenges. One of which is curb appeal. Every owner's DREAM is to mask the lacklustre scenery, grey tones, dirty snow and make their home look like a Christmas card. Well, here's the thing, it's simpler than you think! Things you should consider when listing your home in the winter is preparing your home during the warmer months for success in the winter market. Adding simple decor around the front, a fresh coat of exterior paint works wonders when the snow starts to fly.
SNOW REMOVAL,
We're not saying to remove all the snow, but a well-kept exterior during the winter gives the home a better appeal to those interested. Things as simple as a cleared driveway and walkway will do the trick!
FRESH EXTERIOR PAINT,
This one is a simple upgrade but packs a punch! Though, consider preplanning painting the exterior of your home, or adding a pop of colour to your door, for when the temperatures are warmer. Paint is finicky in colder climates, so plan a day when the weather is nice (or in the warmer months) to paint the exterior of your home.

Functional lighting is essential to the front of a home. Being able to walk to the front door in the wintertime safely is crucial. There is nothing more unappealing to a home than the lack of lighting on the exterior. During the winter, the sun sets relatively early, making it dark by dinner time; this is when many clients will be booking their showings, so it's best to illuminate the home's exterior for safe entry.

When was the last time you updated the numbers on your house? Has the numbers on the home been updated since you purchased it? Now is a great time to create a new look by updating old house numbers to a style the best fits the home. A very inexpensive update, one you can DIY for a unique look.
