WHAT ELSE WE ARE TALKING ABOUT

"An idea occurred to US the other day as that our REALTORSĀ® are always checking out property listings. They are always looking and evaluating properties, and I always have their favourites, you know, the ones that jump out and make me stop and go wow! Sometimes they don't have a buyer to match them with, so we thought we'd challenge them to share their picks of the week, starting now.

That's the big deal on this listing in Vernon! I had to draw your attention to it so you know it is possible. ( Conversely if you have allergies - this is NOT the one.

The property is a 1-bedroom townhouse in the Alexis Park subdivision. Recently updated, it boasts new kitchen installations and flooring. The building itself has undergone extensive renovations, including new windows, doors, and siding.

And here's something interesting. It's just down the road from Vernon's upcoming sports centre at Kin Race Course. Plus, its outside private access eliminates shared hallwaysā€”a feature many find appealing.

It could be an ideal fit for someone looking for a move-in ready home or an investment opportunity with good returns. The strata fees are low at $226.

The property will is listed $259,000.

This property as it's a fully fenced acre with a separate TRIPLE garage ! Click on the image to view the property on our site.

Here's why it stands out: - A spacious 2416 sq. ft. with 4 bedrooms - Detached Triple Garage - Located in the serene Swan Lake West subdivision - Potential for suite conversion in the basement - Situated on a generous 1-acre plot - Outdoor space includes a sun deck and gazebo

This gem, built in 1969, is not just a house but an experience. With its own fruit trees and scenic views, it offers more than just living; it offers a lifestyle.

Julie just loves this spacious home in East Hill, Vernon, BC because the suite is beside the main home, not under!! The suite has a single garage, is well laid out. And the East Hill location is great!!!( Her home neighbourhood!)  Click on the image to view the property on our site.

Here's why it stands out: - A generous 3410 sq. ft., with 6 bedrooms - Includes a legal, 1 bedroom suite - Built in 2013 and still in prime condition - Covered parking for 3 vehicles - South facing balconies for both suites - Total land area of 10890 sq. ft.

75% of buyers want ā€œimpeccableā€ curb appeal.

Itā€™s true.

According to a recent study, 75% of home buyers say that a homeā€™s exterior should look impeccable.

Many cite curb appeal as a top reason to buyā€”or not buyā€”a home.

In winter, when skies are gray and landscaping looks drab, how can you make your homeā€™s curb appeal stand out?

P.S. Thinking about selling your home? We are here to help. Reach out and weā€™ll talk through your unique situation.

Mastering the right technique for cross-country skiing

Photo: J.P. Squire

Cross-country skiing requires shifting your weight from ski to ski. To practice that at Kelowna Nordic Ski and Snowshoe Club, instructor Lyle Nicholson has his students at masters social ski lessons stand on one leg with the other leg paused briefly in the air, then switch feet.

The first thing you must learn is how to stop since it's the most important safety manoeuvreā€”especially if the Ski Sheriff is in your path but also if it's a steep hill and you are out of control. Although it looks silly at times, the proper position to stop or slow down is the snowplow, the same one used in downhill skiing. Kids know it as the pizza pie. Some instructors call it the wedge.
