Blacksmith Class: Camp Axe Class @ Historic O'Keefe Ranch

(Introduction to Blacksmithing Class is a prerequisite) 9:30 am – approximately 5:00 pm each day, course cost is $200. Family Saturday @ The Vernon Public Art Gallery

Family Saturday takes place on the last Saturday of each month with an art project suitable for little kids and big kids alike, at a minimal cost to participants. The workshop begins with instruction and a project demonstration and then we let the creativity flow! Join us this month as we explore the art of printing! We will have three monoprint stations set up including tabletop printing, plastic bag printing, and resist printing. Parents are also encouraged to participate. The cost is $5 for members, $9 for non-members. Pre-registration is recommended.

Aura Chamber Choir presents Bach's B Minor Mass @ Trinity United Church

AURA’s 40th ANNIVERSARY

BACH b-minor MASS

 

The Mass in b-minor of Johann Sebastian Bach is indisputably one of the highest peaks of human artistic achievement. A number of AURA singers in the upcoming performance were with the choir for its 2004 performance.  For Raminsh, each successive relearning and revisiting of the Mass reveals new complexity, surprises and challenges. A great work of art is never complete.

BIKES, PIZZA, BEER, LIVE MUSIC, what could be better! Come out and rub elbows with Vernon’s biking community at this fun-filled event! Pick your favourite era, and get into it. Costumes encouraged. The ticket price includes pizza, first beer, live music, and a donation to the club. Tickets for this event are limited to 65, so get your tickets early!
