Explore the wonderful world of claymation! Participants will be introduced to the techniques of frame by frame animation using their own characters made from modelling clay. In this hands-on workshop you`ll storyboard a simple idea, design your own amazing character and then bring it to life in a short animated film around 20-30 seconds long. Learn insider tips and tricks from a pro that you won`t get anywhere else! Students need to bring their own flash drive to take home a digital file of their animation. During the Vernon Bike Festival earlier this month, 32 artists converged along 32 km's of Okanagan Rail Trail for a day of painting. Now the time has come to show off the creations!

An opening reception will be held Friday, May 31 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. You are also invited to vote for "Viewer's Choice Award", sponsored by Opus Art Supplies Kelowna. The winner will be announced on the Arts Council's Facebook and Instagram pages Wednesday, June 12th.

An evening for anyone interested in learning more about bats. Begin with a one hour introduction on bat biology, behaviour, and diversity, followed by a field trip to a site where you will do an evening bat count (near Ellison Provincial Park). The bat count will begin around 9:00 PM. This evening will be led by BC Community Bat Program Okanagan Coordinator, Paula Rodriguez de la Vega.
