The 101st Falkland Stampede @ Falkland

The Falkland Stampede is a 3 Day Event featuring Bronc Riding, Bull Riding, Barrel Racing, Clown Acts, Full Throttle Trick Riders, and much more.

The Stampede kicks off Saturday Afternoon at 1pm. Sunday also begins with the rodeo action at 1pm. Monday starts with a Heavy Horse Pull at 10am, and the Stampede at 1pm.

The action continues Saturday and Sunday night with a 19+ dance at the local Community Hall, starting at 8pm each night. Pre-Sale ticket holders are guaranteed entry with 2 pieces of valid ID until 11pm each night. After 11pm ticket holders may be required to wait in line if the hall is at capacity.

Tickets can be purchased at the gate.

Dance for Ruth will be on May 18, 2019 starting at 7 pm going until 1 am. There will be live music from the Shawn Lightfoot Band, a live auction, balloon pop, treasure and door prizes!

Twice nominated “best jazz clarinetist” in the National Jazz Awards, LEO award-winning composer/performer James Danderfer has been performing and recording with some of the finest jazz musicians in North America. This night’s performance gathers a quintet of powerful players including JUNO award winners Oliver Gannon and Brad Turner.

Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch @ Creekside Theatre

Somebody Loves You, Mr. Hatch is set in a friendly and quaint town in the 1940s. Mr. Hatch is a tall, thin, lonely man who works a simple but important job attaching the aglets to shoelaces at a factory. He often spends time alone and doesn’t have the confidence or desire to make or keep friends. One day his life turns around when he receives a package on Valentine’s Day with a pink bow that has a message that reads, “Somebody loves you.” Mr. Hatch’s world is turned upside down and he begins to make friends, enjoy all sorts of nice foods, and the fun parts of life that he once ignored.

The Sustainable Environment Network Society invites you to the Electric Car Show, taking place Thursday, May 23 from 7pm-9pm!

Go for some test drives, try an electric bicycle, and enjoy some solar and wind power displays. This is a free event and all are welcome to come an learn about the environmental impact of both the cars we're driving now and electric powered vehicles.

There will even be an all-electric 30' boat on display!

The Georgia Fats are a new band made up of three members with long histories in Canadian Music. No punch ins, no over dubs, just live off the floor the way it was done a long time ago. Chitarra da Camera Ensemble Presented by Chamber Music Kelowna @ Creekside Theatre

The newly formed Chitarra da Camera Ensemble featuring accomplished local performers Martin Krátký, cello, Sandra Wilmot, violin, Ashley Kroecher, violin and Alan Rinehart, guitar are dedicated to exploring the chamber music repertoire that uses the guitar as an integral part of the group. The early part of the 19th century was a particularly rich period for such repertoire.

The concert program will include a variety of solo, duo, trio and quartet work by familiar composers such as Paganini, Haydn and Schubert as well as lesser-known composers such as Matiegka, Dotzauer and da Fossa.
