Armstrong, The Heart of Country plays host each year to the IPE, Interior Provincial Exhibition. With an average of over 130,000 visitors each year this small community of around 5000 people really gets moving! There are plenty of activities including the Midway rides and games and the nightly Rodeo to entertain everyone.

Population:  in 5114 Armstrong BC and 5106 in Spallumcheen (Statistics Canada 2016) 

Main Industries: Agriculture, manufacturing, ranching, forestry and tourism are the main economic drivers for Armstrong Spallumcheen. 

Schools: The area is part of the Shuswap School District #89 and is served by 4 public schools: Highland Park, and Armstrong Elementary, Len Wood Middle School and Pleasant Valley Secondary, as well as North Okanagan Junior Academy, a private school. In addition, there is a  Gateway Community Learning Centre downtown. Post secondary education is available in nearby Vernon BC at Okanagan College and within one hour drive at the University of British Columbia -Okanagan in North Kelowna. 

Amenities: As a resident of Armstrong/Spallumcheen, you'll have easy access to all the amenities of present day life. Doctors, Dentists, Optometrists, Physiotherapists, Accountants, Lawyers, Insurance agents, Restaurants, Bars, Grocery Stores, Gyms Financial Services, Library and Hardware stores are all represented in Downtown Armstrong. You will have to go to Vernon BC for Hospital services, although from Monday to Friday, you can have x-rays, blood work and other diagnostic services done at the healthcare centre.  With a new indoor pool, arena, curling rink, outdoor pool, spray park, golf course and riding rings - you will find it easy to enjoy your favourite sport.
