We are heading into the 2020 Holiday season, and obviously, this year many traditions have been upended. Normally this week, hundreds of real estate professionals, along with family and friends canvas our local communities to collect food for the local food banks. It has been such a pleasure to come together for our communities.

No Food Drive this year - compounds the problem that the NEED for assistance is potentially greater than ever. This Friday and Saturday, our team, along with many other grateful colleagues will be manning the Kettles and ringing bells for donations to the Food Bank.

Normally, each year, we hold a client appreciation event. That is another casualty of Covid. It hurts us that we can't see all the folks we've gotten to know in our years of real estate. It's funny - people think we buy and sell homes, but really, underneath it all, we help people and build communities. That is why we've chosen to donate from our Client Appreciation allocation into The Armstrong Food Bank, and we are challenging other REALTORS® to donate to their communities.

Locally, in real estate, the number of sales outpaced new listings with 45 properties sold in the last 7 days in the North Okanagan. The number of active residential properties available for sale dropped to 778.

This number includes all sectors of the residential market.
