The HOLM Stretch | November 24th, 2023
Our last post for November
It has been a month of transition for local realtors and clients alike with the launch of the ONE HOME online portal. As with most software updates, glitches are fixed as they are identified by the users, which can take time and cause some frustration. Let's all learn together.
Scroll down to check out what's happening in real estate and our local communities as well as our regular features. It is of note that the Association of Interior Realtors launched a new Portal site and work is still in progress on this technology. We also notice some differences in the way the statistics are generated and it may take some time to establish new baselines.

SILVERSTAR SHINING BRIGHT
During the off-season, SilverStar Mountain Resort added 21 more cabins to its Summit Express eight-passenger gondola, doubling its uphill capacity to 2,400 riders per hour. The popular resort, east of Vernon, also purchased two new Piston Bully groomers for its fleet to ensure a smooth corduroy surface for skiers and snowboarders.
When the first significant snow fell on SilverStar Mountain Resort in mid-October, the grinning face of Ian Jenkins said it all.
"It is very exciting to see new snow at the mountain and hopefully, it bodes well for where the season is headed," said SilverStar's director of sales and marketing.
"The new gondola cabins have been put on the line, the parking lot is under expansion and we are nearing the launch of our new SilverStar Ski app. We have also completed renovations at Paradise Camp and lots of touch-ups in our other locations. Overall, the excitement is building and it's shaping up to be a great season ahead."
The scheduled opening day for cross-country skiing is Nov. 24 and for downhill, Nov. 30.
