What’s changed since your last mortgage renewal?
Mortgage renewal letters aren’t exactly exciting mail.
Most of us look at the new rate, figure out what the payment will be, choose a term, and move on.
But, if moving has been somewhere in the back of your mind, it's a good time to find out what your home is valued at now and how much equity you’ve built.
You might look at the numbers and decide staying put makes the most sense. Or you might discover the move you’ve been thinking about is more realistic than you expected.
Either way, it’s better to figure that out before you’ve committed to another term.
