Dealing with the dramatic impact of wildfire evacuation
The 2023 wildfire season will be a vivid memory for many in the Southern Interior.
This week's e-bike ride involved the discovery of the UnH2O Garden in front of the H2O Adventure and Fitness Centre in Kelowna for the Secret Okanagan Spots or SOS series. The 372-square-metre xeriscape demonstration garden created by the Okanagan Xeriscape Association has five theme areas (seven according to a sign) to show that xeriscapiing is much more than rocks and cactus. A brochure names the low-water-use plants to encourage their use.
